Daniels has been selected from a competitive pool of proposals to present Trauma-Informed Finance: Where Embodiment Meets Economics as a breakout workshop at the 2026 Pay It Forward Summit, hosted by the Scholars Equity Network at the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago on August 14, 2026.
The selection is significant not simply because the work will be presented at the Obama Presidential Center, but because this particular body of work was selected for a national conversation about what is needed to advance change and action today.
Daniels developed Trauma-Informed Finance™ in 2021 as the formalization of two decades of lived, labored, and learned experience working alongside people and power while navigating capital, community, and civic engagement. The methodology emerged from patterns she had experienced, witnessed, and studied, particularly the ways human conditions, historical harm, and systems of power shape survival, trust, and economic opportunity. From Chaos to K.A.R.M.A™: Introducing Trauma-Informed Finance™ is the first flagship intellectual release under ICC’s Access is Power campaign and its Liberation pillar.
Access is Power is ICC’s broader campaign challenging the systems that determine who has access to capital, opportunity, knowledge, and economic power.
